Jeff Spencer has focused his practice on helping his clients reach the best bottom line result. A clear and honest discussion of the risks and expenses allows contractors, homeowners, and businesses make sense of the confusing legal world. Jeff focuses on all aspects of construction law including liens, contract review, tenant improvements, easements, and all legal issues concerning real property. Jeff regularly practices before the Nevada State Contractors Board for licensing and discipline hearings and has successfully resolved cases for his clients in business contract review, NDOT Bond Claims, casino expansion, parking structure delay and cost overruns, dorms, high end home remodels, contract disputes, construction defect claims for homeowners, developers, and subcontractors, and nonpayment resolution of all types.

Jeff grew up in Las Vegas before moving to Reno. He graduated from UNR with dual degrees in Economics and International Affairs. Leaving Reno to attend the University of San Diego School of Law, Jeff returned to Northern Nevada to develop his career in construction law.

Mr. Spencer is admitted to the Nevada State Bar, California State Bar (inactive), the Federal District of Nevada, the Eastern District of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a member of the Nevada State Bar and the Washoe County Bar, as well as the Construction Litigation Section for the State of Nevada.

Jeff is a guest lecturer at UNR’s Construction Management class, a founding member of the Association of General Contractors (“AGC”) Construction Leadership Counsel, and a soccer coach for his kids teams. Jeff is an avid traveler and hiker and enjoys the outdoor lifestyle Reno offers.
