Joseph Balkenbush
Joe Balkenbush was born and raised in the Reno area and grew up with a passion for the outdoors that continues to this day. Joe enjoys hiking and camping with his wife and four boys, as well as golfing and hunting in rural Nevada.
Joe obtained his undergraduate degree from UNR in Civil Engineering in 2006 and his Law Degree from the University of South Dakota in 2013.
Joe started his professional career working for a Civil Engineering design firm, providing the foundational experiences that taught him the intricacies of collaborating with land developers, and navigating the complexities of planning and design. Here, Joe not only refined his technical skills but also acquired a deep understanding of the administrative side of the construction and engineering industries.
Following his time as a Civil Engineer, Joe began working in the construction field. Joe was responsible for the new construction and remodeling of diverse structures ranging from single-family homes to multifamily and commercial buildings. This experience solidified his ability to deliver functional, efficient structures that resonated with the design and structural requirements of clients.
After his tenure in engineering and construction, Joe’s path into law began. Here, Joe excelled in the domains of construction law, transactional law, and civil litigation. Being immersed in the legal field sharpened his analytical prowess, optimized his attention to detail, and developed him into an expert in crafting strong construction contracts and legal strategies. Joe’s construction and engineering background allows him to counsel clients from an informed perspective as someone who is highly knowledgeable in the construction and engineering fields.
Joe is licensed to practice in Nevada State and Federal Courts, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Joe is also a licensed contractor and civil engineer in the state of Nevada.
